end of summer and back to school

The Gauthier family had a great family vacation to Gulf Shores. The kids had lots of fun on the back and the pool and mom and dad had great fun watching them and just relaxing.

Now it is back to school for us. Olivia will be starting 4th grade and Parker will be starting 3rd. One more year of daycare for Miller, thank god. Ten year of now stop daycare cost will come to an end!!
This weekend we kickoff our youth football season. This will be Parkers first year in tackle and Olivia will be cheering again this year.

Summer Is Winding Down

Summer has flown by this year. The kids have had great fun with two trips to Louisiana to visit their grandparents and many field trips at summer camp. This coming week we will head to Gulf Shores for a fun family vacation.



This past weekend my wife and I competed in a triathlon together for the first time. While we both had a rough swim due to swimming with 1,500 other crazy people we still had a great time and finished strong. I think I am done racing for the year but Leslie has two Olympic distance races coming in September and October. I am super proud of her dedication and determination.

Texas Stars Do It Again

Olivia’s Texas Stars cheer team did it again. They competed in their last competition of the year in New Orleans this past weekend and won. Her team swept first in their 4 major competitions this year. This was the first time any team has ever swept these events. Great job Olivia! The Gauthier family had a great weekend in New Orleans as well.

The G Team 5 March Update

It has been several weeks since my last blog post. There is a lot to update from the Gauthier house. My wife finished the Houston half marathon, she did not do as well as she had hoped but we are proud of her as always. Next stop for her is the Galveston sprint triathlon! My daughter competed in two big nation cheer compotation in San Antonio and Dallas and her team won them both. Way to go Olivia and Texas Stars. My son Parker has started his spring soccer season and scored in his first game. Miller just crazy 3 year old as always.
I as for me it is work as usual but I am training for my first duathlon on March 26. I feel ready but you never know.

Wifey's Race Week

This coming Sunday the wifey will run the Houston Half Marathon.  I have lost track of how many marathons and half marathons she has run.  The kids and I will be up early and out the door to show our support.  She is our rock star athlete and we are proud of her.  Way to go Leslie!!!

My First Blog - Social Media :(

Social Media – Who would have thunk it.  I swore to my wife that I would never use it, at least have not fallen to Facebook. 

In my blog I hope to share with you the day to day actions of my family better known as “theGteam”.  I am married to a beautiful woman that is a full-time mother, part-time dietitian and aspiring triathlete.  We have three wonderful kids that keep us on our toes.  Olivia is our girl and she is starting those preteen years, god help us.  We also have two sons better known as “the boys”.  Parker is our middle child and he is on the go from sun up to sun down.  Miller is our baby and he keeps the house rocking.
